How We Accidentally Became Ultra Runners

Colin is the brains behind the operation (a term we use loosely). Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2017, he discovered that running became his therapy. From marathons to 100-mile ultra races and running the length of the country, Colin is living proof that MS doesn’t set the limits.

Andrew is Colin’s brother and the one dragged into the madness. Inspired by Colin’s ultra distances, he started with half marathons and gradually found himself chasing bigger challenges — fuelled by determination and a habit of signing up for things without fully thinking them through.

Together, Colin and Andrew host the Idiots Go Running podcast, where bad ideas turn into big adventures — a journey that’s even led to ultrarunning legend Dean Karnazes becoming a friend of the show.
